Lamp.U
Lamp.U is a dental photography device that is designed and built to assist dentist in taking dental photography for their daily cases. In today’s age of information, data and proper documentation is paramount. A picture is worth a thousand words. And a properly taken and detailed dental picture is priceless. Information contained in a good photo will increase the clarity of communication from you to other dentist, assistant, labs, patients, and other parties involved in the process.

Light Source
Lamp.U is built with 2 High CRI LED lights which give lateral lighting to the object. The 2 LED Light is positioned to align with the patient’s teeth, making a 45 degree angle. This results in excellent anterior teeth photograph, which is often lit harshly using a regular ring light.
However, lateral lighting usually cannot penetrate well into the deepest part of the mouth. Lamp.U is unique in the way that the light source itself is able to be re-positioned on a slide and to rotate. With a carefully designed curve, Lamp.U can transform to a different light profile, imitating a ring light. This allows dentists to take a high quality posterior teeth photograph as well.
The light is passive as well, which means it is illuminating both when picture is taken and when it is not, unlike flash. This enables you to see the object clearly before you take the picture. What you see is what you get. Passive lights also means that video capture is possible as well.
HIGH CRI LEDs
CRI (Color Rendering Index) is a measure of how accurately a light source illuminates the object’s true colors. Our LED lights have CRI values of up to 98, indicating that our LED lights are able to produce very high quality white light that approximates the natural daylight.

Ergonomics
Lamp.U is ergonomically designed, feels good to the touch and weighted well. Mounting and positioning your smartphone is quick and easy. Once your smartphone is mounted and centered, one-handed operation is possible, due to the camera trigger button being located right under your thumb.
Chin guard is also supplied, which acts as a support resting on the patient’s chin. This allows for a stable photo taking and a standardized distance to the teeth. A standard and well framed dental pictures is easy every time.
Cross Polarization Filter
Lamp.u also comes with a set of polarization filter which completely eliminates reflections from the resulting photograph. This may help dentists observe the color of the teeth without any unwanted distractions.
